Reform Brand Contact as 10 19 August 2009

Manchester based, Reform Creative, have been commissioned by Contact Theatre, also based in Manchester, to adapt the current logo for their 10 year anniversary celebrations, which begin this autumn.

Our brief was simple, use the existing Contact logo to portray the 10 year anniversary. By looking to keep the adaptation simple and not alienate those who had become accustomed to the brand over the years. We thought that the simple re-appropriation of the Contact double C marquee as a ‘0’ allowed us to do just that. The outcome is a clever and familiar marque which should encapsulate the innovative nature of Contact.

• Contact is a place where artists can meet, develop, explore and take risks.
• Contact is a young people’s theatre, where you can grow, learn and make decisions as a young artist, audience member, organiser or leader.

Contact is an internationally acclaimed arts venue for young people situated right in the heart of Oxford Road. The building is the one with the huge turrets next to Manchester Academy. The building includes three theatre spaces. At Contact people from a huge range of backgrounds meet, mix and create art together. There is always something happening - one day you might see artists at work, performances, rehearsals and workshops and another you might find art installations, DJs and live bands. Contact invites artists and companies from all over the world to make and show work in Manchester and inspire future theatre-makers and creative leaders to begin life changing journeys.
