SPARK was Provident Financials exciting arts education project.

Active8 worked closely with three local Primary schools to better support literacy objectives. The aims of the programme were:

  • To provide primary school children in Bolton with an opportunity to ‘get creative’.
  • To generate evidence to support our belief that the use of drama and theatre can improve literacy attainment levels for primary school pupils.
  • To support children in successfully achieving the learning objectives outlined in the National Primary Framework for Literacy through the use of drama and theatre
  • To create a dialogue with teachers, head teachers and creative practitioners, to share ideas and experiences with a view to establishing an example of educational ‘best practice’ in Bolton Primary Schools.

Reform’s creative solution was to produce a brochure which was image rich, friendly and an informative publication. It included many creative ideas throughout with hand drawn elements in the support of the creative idea.
